With offices in 22 countries, Santillana is made up of two main divisions, the Santillana imprint which publishes educational material for children, and its many trade imprints: Alfaguara-Fiction, Aguilar-Social and Political Non-Fiction, Taurus -Essays, Alamah -Health and Spiritual, Altea and Alfaguara Juvenil/Infantil Children's Literature, Richmond and Santillana-Reference, Punto de lectura-Mass Market Paperbacks.

According to Nerissa Moran, owner of former Books on Wings of San Francisco, Santillana and its promoters are working with some of the best young writers of Latin America, from Tierra del Fuego to Los Angeles. "Verónica Cervera for example, is one of the most dynamic and enthusiastic promoters of adult and children's literature," said Moran. Moran also mentioned that many new young authors, such as Arturo Arias, might not have been exposed to nearly as broad an audience were it not for Santillana. Another prominent author, Edmundo Paz Soldán, has reached amazing popularity through the promoting and publishing work of Santillana.

Here at Brodart Español we feel previleged to have the opportunity to work with Santillana and its professionals.
